Equipment Requirements For Students

Please note that a Snell SA 2000 helmet is the minimum acceptable helmet:

Motorcycle and snowmobile helmets are not acceptable

Via Group

· Tech Inspection

· Helmet-free

· Seat belts in good condition

· Long sleeves/pants (no shorts or polyester

Scuola Group and Misti Group

· Tech Inspection

· Approved helmet (see below) with full face visors for open cars

· Seat belts in good condition

· Long sleeves/pants (no shorts or polyester

Piloti Group

· All Scuola group requirements, plus

· VR, ZR or Racing tires

· Driver's suit of Nomex, 3 layer strongly recommended

· Leather or fireproof gloves and shoes

· Fire Extinguisher (2 lb min) firmly mounted in cockpit.

· Equal restraints (seat belt or 5 point harness) for driver and passenger/ instructor)

Helmets will be checked at the Track. They must be at least a Snell SA 2000 or FIA 8858, FIA 8860, and with a full face visor for drivers with open cars. This requirement is in accordance with safety rules mandated by the National FCA organization.

All race prepared and Challenge cars must comply with Piloti group equipment standards, regardless of the run group.
